As the Prime Minister declares he wants to end 40 years of neoliberalism and establish a new economic model for the UK, we are publishing this essay arguing that economic democracy, worker voice and corporate accountability must be central to these plans.

Thank you @pollytoynbee for this coverage of why the High Pay Centre has had to close and the challenges faced by numerous other organisations in our sector https://t.co/vKyKhpOsyi
goodness what a sad day. Indicative in too many ways of the times we are living through.
Well done over those years @HighPayCentre. I will miss you and our society will be worse off for not having you there https://t.co/mULK8Gl4MF
The @HighPayCentre has announced that it is closing down.
Real shame. Whether you agree with it or not, the think tank has done invaluable work scrutinising executive pay, shining a light on CEO contracts, their implications and the impact they have.
It has helped encourage transparency and fostered an important debate.
I particularly liked their January analysis of when the average CEO has earned what the average Brit makes in a year. It's usually within a few days of the start of the New Year.
With thanks,
