This is the latest of many violent anti-Muslim attacks. They don’t happen in a vacuum - they are the result of Islamophobia being mainstreamed by politicians and the media.

It’s right that this is being dealt with by counter-terrorism police. But there also needs to be a COBRA meeting to address the fact that Muslims, migrants and people of colour more widely are being terrorised on the streets of Britain by a radicalised minority.
