Days ago, I accidentally hit a parked Lexus . I felt terrible knowing that the owner would eventually return to find the car in that condition.

I waited for about 20 minutes, hoping the owner would come back. When no one showed up, I wrote a note, placed it under the windshield wiper, and drove away. In the note, I sincerely apologized, accepted full responsibility for the damage, and included my phone number.

When I got home, I kept expecting a call from the owner, but none came. I became worried, wondering if the wind had blown the note away or if the owner had simply not seen it.

This morning, my phone finally rang. It was the owner of the vehicle. I apologized again and explained how I had waited at the scene before leaving the note. As we talked, we switched to a WhatsApp video call.

During our conversation, I learned something that deeply moved me. Had I not left that note, the driver's life could have been turned upside down. The owner explained that it was his driver who had taken the vehicle out. When the driver returned with the note in tears, he admitted what had happened.

The owner said that if the note had not been there, he would have assumed the driver was responsible. He intended to have him arrested, compel him to pay for the damaged headlight, and dismiss him from his job—despite the fact that the driver's salary could never cover the cost of the repair.

I pleaded with him not to take such action. He replied that there was no longer any need since I had accepted responsibility.

He initially planned to send me his account details for the repairs, but later told me not to worry about it.

I left that conversation overwhelmed with gratitude to God. A simple decision to be honest and take responsibility may have saved a man from losing his job, his dignity, and his livelihood.

Behind every worker is a family. That driver is someone's husband and someone's father. Had events unfolded differently, his wife and children would have borne the pain of consequences they did not deserve.

Integrity may seem costly in the moment, but it can save lives, preserve livelihoods, and restore faith in humanity.

I.T jobs sprang up. Internet cafes & ICT centers followed. AFRIHUBS sprang up across Nigerian campuses. OBJ laid Nigeria’s very first fiber-optic backbone, the SAT-3/WASC submarine cable. He launched your first Satellite.

You had several websites advertising jobs. Millions got jobs without knowing anyone.

No Nigerian President (love/loved) the country more than OBJ. He is a nationalist to the core.

Obasanjo had zero tolerance for tribalism & nepotism. As long as you were competent? YOU WERE HIRED! He recruited the brightest of minds, some of whom were: NOI, Bola Ige, Nasir El-Rufai, Dora Akunyili, Frank Nweke Jr, Tonnie Iredia, Oby Ezekwesili, Chukwuma Soludo, Chukwuemeka Chikelu & others.

OBJ did banking reforms, AKA Consolidation. Baba Shege is how you pull people out of poverty. Teachers bought cars on his watch.

Obasanjo created the EFCC & the ICPC. He established the National Pension Commission (PenCom). He conducted the last national population & housing census in Nigeria.

OBJ hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) with Queen Elizabeth II in attendance. He hosted the 8th All-Africa Games & the famous FESTAC 77.

No one understood “Unity & Image-making” like OBJ did. His administration remains the ONLY government that got Foreign Policy right!

The only administration that was able to influence three U.S presidents to visit Nigeria.

Obasanjo was at the forefront of the fight for the liberation of South Africa from Apartheid.

He led the liberation of Angola, South Africa, Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia), Mozambique, Namibia. Sierra Leone, & Liberia. On his watch? Nigeria led the continent of Africa. You were the most conspicuous in rooms abroad. OBJ led Africa (the AU & ECOWAS) like a colossus.

He is the only Nigerian president (dead or alive) that attended the G7 Summit — THREE TIMES!

I was just chatting with a divorced woman that I thought all along was married.

Today is the first time that I am chatting with her since she started following me in 2020.

Her ex-husband met her in 2014 and told her, "God said that you were his wife." They did not court and were under strict religious doctrines before their wedding.

They were married for 6 years, no kids.

The man suddenly started accusing her of cheating without any evidence and stopped providing for her.

She walked out of the marriage in 2020, and the family returned the bride price. The man remarried and now has two children.

She is still unmarried till date with no child and she's 36.

In 2024, she met a man that she dated for 9 months until June 2025.

It was her first time sleeping with another man since her divorce in 2020.

Unfortunately, the man turned out not to be someone serious with his life, so she broke up with him.

Recall that yesterday, I said women do not have scarcity of men, but they have scarcity of husbands?

That's exactly what she's experiencing now and still, no man in sight as we speak.

Her ex husband is remarried and now has children with another woman.

Infact, he remarried a year after their divorce.

I simply told her that religion ruined her and she agreed with me.

For you young women, I have told to stop advising you, but I haven't stopped.

And I am still doing so because I believe some of you may be able to listen to wise counsel.

Open your eyes very well before you say "I do". Because once you get married, your market value automatically is tied to that man and not to other men outside.

If you go and get married to an oloriburuku, an oloriburuku will be your husband.

And you must stay with that oloriburuku as long as he's not a threat to your life.

And even if he becomes a threat to your life and you decide to leave the marriage, it still will not make you immune from being tagged a divorcee.

And most men will prefer to marry a never married woman over you.
