Been preparing a sermon on finding comfort from God from 2 Cor. 1:3-7 (actually just vs. 3 for this sermon) and using Lam. 3:19-31 as a key supporting text and place to learn from Jeremiah's example. Check out the list below for how to find comfort in trials from those two texts:

1. Remember God is the Blessed One.
2. Remember the Father sent Jesus to die for you.
3. Remember God is the Father of mercies.
4. Remember God is the God of all comfort.
5. Remember we all suffer trials and tribulations.
6. Remember recalling truth to mind brings hope.
7. Remember God’s lovingkindnesses never cease.
8. Remember God’s compassions never fail.
9. Remember God’s mercies are renewed every morning.
10. Remember God is great in faithfulness.
11. Remember God is the believer’s portion and hope.
12. Remember the Lord is good to those who wait for Him.
13. Remember the Lord is good to those who seek Him.
14. Remember the Lord is good to those who wait silently for His salvation.
15. Remember it is good to bear burdens in your youth.
16. Remember God lays all our burdens on you.
17. Remember to humble yourself and submit to your trials.
18. Remember to hope that God will bring your trial to an end.
19. Remember that with trials come God’s compassion and abundant lovingkindness.
20. Remember that God doesn’t afflict, grieve, crush you, deprive you of injustice, or let you be defrauded in court willingly.
21. Remember, no one can speak unless the Lord commands it.
22. Remember, God is sovereign over everything, the good and the evil.
