Saw this absolutely amazing "hair ice" this morning in Longford, it only forms under very specific conditions where water is drawn out of the wood and freezes in thin layers, stabilised by the fungus Exidiopsis effusa. A natural phenomenon! @JoannaDonnellyL @CarlowWeather
