San Francisco is an insane city. A cop informs an angry store owner that he isn’t allowed to force drug addicts off the property and that people have been, and will continue to use drugs out in the open whether he likes it or not.
SFPD officer to frustrated immigrant business owner with an empty pizzeria on Friday night: “People on 6th Street have been using drugs since before my time and after your time … that’s above my head.” @SFPDChief @DanielLurie what are you going to do about this?
Another body pulled out of housing for the homeless in San Francisco. Our entire approach is deeply flawed. Low barrier harm reduction services are voluntary, expensive, and harm is NOT being reduced. Where's the accountability? @DanielLurie@CAgovernor
You’re gonna only hear this on X because Mainstream Media in the Department of Public Health and City Hall has been lying to the public. You have a EMT a First Responder who feet is on the ground in this community telling you he goes on 50 to 60 overdose calls a day he say the city is full of bullshit. I’mma let you hear his conversation and let you judge for yourself. Who would you believe somebody that’s here or somebody pushing a pen and paper
The San Francisco Report Card has been updated and so far between five (Including Fisherman’s Wharf) neighborhoods:

"The dogs belong to RV campers." One of which had outstanding warrants. Too many RV dwellers are living off the grid and don't care about the neighborhood they are in. Why? They don't pay rent or a mortgage like everyone else. That's the uncomfortable truth.
For all the years that I’ve documented the people on the streets I’ve never understood a handful of facts. First off there is no plan. If they tell you there is show me. All the rhetoric and distraction, performance and lawsuits. Second off, these humans are severely addicted to drugs and or mentally ill. Chicken or the egg it really doesn’t much matter. I’ve always thought if someone like Lisa could be treated for her mental illness, perhaps she wouldn’t care for lying on the sidewalk. She gets completely taken advantage of and has for years. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to me. No one really seems to care. These people need serious medical help, they live outside and have reverted to animalistic behaviors. Digging in garbage, shitting and pissing on sidewalks. It’s not humane. The local interventions aren’t effective she needs to be hospitalized. The real controversy here is how is any of this humane?
