Overall, this year I feel we will see a wonderful race and even if I don’t tip the winner I think I’ll be happy. In fact, if I do tip the winner I’ll be totally shocked.

Melbourne Cup Thoughts:
As I said prior, this year there’s much more depth than I can recall seeing in the cup. I’ve flipped back and forth on several of the runners.
Firstly, I’m not tipping the top weight and Favourite Al Riffa purely due to the 59kg. At 58kg he would likely

Some of the others. I think he was great in the Caulfield cup but this will be different and I’m not sure he’ll get the breaks he needs to make this a success.
I’ve had Buckaroo in my selections and out of my selections. I’ve left him out with trepidation.

I’ve been pretty quiet this spring but I have been behind the scenes heavily doing the cup form. IMO this year there’s a lot of depth and more genuine chances than I can recall there being in many years.
I’m also amazed that we’ve had an upgrade in the track today. Tips to come!

Reading lots of ‘Haha I took Knights choice at $200 before the Bendigo Cup! Like they’re a master punter. In reality they had money on 22 of the runners…but fail to mention that part 🙄
For $23 I could’ve had $1 on everything and picked the winner too!

Pretty bunched margins for a Melbourne Cup. Looked like some of the class runners just didn't quite run the trip out with the true stayers coming to the fore late. ZARDOZI huge, just didn't quite stay the trip. BUCKAROO huge, tough task, just peaked late. LAND LEGEND huge again, just his own worst enemy, what an engine he has. OKITA SOUSHI huge, just peaked. ABSURDE a little unlucky in the straight. KNIGHTS CHOICE and WARP SPEED just kept coming when they ran out of carrots late #GotToRunTheTrip
