Professionals such as physiotherapists are trained to pick up red flags. Why don't we trust them, when we already trust dentists and opticians to see patients without a GP referral?

It is an accident of history that only some of these services lie behind a GP gatekeeper.

Sorry @Paschald, did you just say that GP nurses weren’t on the frontline of COVID19? I’m sure these women would beg to differ as they maintained childhood vaccinations, cervical check, chronic disease management and so much more throughout, all face to face with limited PPE.
