Really grateful to have been born in Namibia. Such an amazing, well run country, not ever in my life did I want to live anywhere else but my country. Everything about it is great expect for that Nekundi guy.
NO RETREAT: The Ministry of Works and Transport has confirmed that the installation of speed bumps along Windhoek’s Western Bypass is continuing.
However, ministry spokespersons were unable to confirm how many speed bumps are being installed or the total number planned once the project is completed. They referred further inquiries to the City of Windhoek, which is carrying out the installations, and the Roads Authority (RA).
Spokespersons for both the municipality and the RA were not immediately available for comment.
The developments come amid a legal challenge by activist Michael Amushelelo, who has taken Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi to court in an attempt to halt the project. The court is expected to deliver its ruling by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, Amushelelo has called for a protest demonstration on Saturday.
