So glad I spent this am at #PHS2020. @TrevonDLogan’s keynote was a powerful synthesis of historical and persistent racism in the US, its pervasive influence on social inequity and the relationship to our current health crisis. #BlackLivesMatter
Let's make the most of this opportunity to develop future generations of informed, evidence-based policymakers and practitioners since we're clearly going to need them.

This is appalling. Roughly 280k students have attended since Sept with roughly 750 cases, for a student infection rate around 0.00025. Do better @NYCMayor@NYCMayorsOffice
Yes, NYC is still using the 3% average positivity threshold to close schools, even though they aren't abiding by the 2% rate that was supposed to close indoor dining. Today's average was 2.3%, so it's possible all public schools could close soon unless we bend the curve...
@NYCMayor "Virus transmission in city schools had remained very low since classrooms reopened at the end of September, and the spike in cases does not appear to be caused by the reopening of school buildings." Yet @NYCMayor announces their closing. Leadership #fail. https://t.co/a5BFwIpSyI

#Depression is a medical problem with many symptoms, including physical ones that can interfere with daily life—it is different from sadness. Screening is an effective tool to identify signs of depression and figure out if treatment can help.

A recent study finds that even modest increases #depression screening rates could improve identification and treatment in primary care, potentially helping to address undetected and untreated depression in these settings. https://t.co/9WmSohxo6L
