@MarkJCarney I’m happy to support lower income Canadians who are struggling with higher grocery prices. Might I also suggest windfall taxes on the ghouls who own the Loblaws etc.
@stiffpaulyk@sarobertson_ Teneycke worked for Sun Media, the Harper PMO and the Ontario Conservative Party. Yeah he’s no conservative 🤣. Maybe Paperboy Pierre is just a fucking loser. You’re right about Kory being a piece of shit just for the wrong reasons.
@BillBenson@rn_fedup@RGBAtlantica@sarobertson_ Nothing is certain. Toyota pulled back on EV investments but they’re unlikely to move their RAV 4 plant from Alliston to the US particularly with the uncertainty that engulfs the Trump admin. Making US cars more expensive is going to cost US jobs and export share.
@BillBenson@rn_fedup@RGBAtlantica@sarobertson_ Most goods, but not all. At any rate tariffs/counter-tariffs are a circular firing squad. The US admin will not succeed in repatriating US car manufacturers they’re going to kill an already ailing industry. In terms of other goods they’ll be more expensive which benefits no one
@BillBenson@sarobertson_ Manufacturers who rely on Canadian raw material inputs to produce value added finished goods might eat the cost for a little while but you’ll eventually see those prices climb. Good luck sourcing cheaper aluminum as one example.
@b_keating@jurgen_nauditt@Microinteracti1 It’s not 1939 anymore Bill and Germany is not waging a war against its neighbours. But I’m sure the Europeans will be happy to develop their own version of the Tomahawk instead of buying American arms.
@Shelley72340670@globeandmail Add another layer of tinfoil to your hat. The WEF might compromise you. If you’re out of foil just keep your head in the sand or huff some more gasoline (if you can afford it).
@iMiaSanMia This is the same type of dysfunction that caused Davies’ resigning to be a more expensive and protracted affair. Shit can Eberl or plug the leaks and STFU about it.
