Something I noticed is that a lot of this Boruto discourse is LITERALLY like Eida’s omnipotence with people just choosing not to believe reality because it doesn’t line up with what they think. Millions of people genuinely believe Kishimoto hates the sequel HE STARTED with the movie in 2015 which was then adapted into the Boruto anime and manga. His canonical
story mind you. Just like DBZ Battle of gods was a movie and was adapted a whopping FOUR TIMES. Kishimoto still plays a role in Boruto’s continued development. Like how Toriyama did with Toyotaro in Dragon Ball Super’s manga. That’s literally what it is. And for the life of me I have no clue why people are being willfully disingenuous, ignorant, and hateful about it when DBS is the perfect example that mirrors the circumstances of this sequel.

Ikemoto is at the helm but Kishimoto literally laid the foundation for this with the movie, Naruto Gaiden, and Mitsuki’s oneshot. Hell with the whole Boruto story,
Kishimoto said he wrote an outline and synopsis of the plot until the END of the story. With modifications being done as needed as you can see in one of

People believe he hates Ikemoto or is embarrassed by him when Kishimoto HANDPICKED HIM to be his successor. So much so that Kishimoto said he wanted ZERO involvement with whatever was next for the Naruto franchise if Ikemoto wasn’t at the helm. Ikemoto is at the helm. Safe to say he’s involved. Whether you like him or hate him Kishimoto PICKED Ikemoto himself out of all of his assistants.

Also, Kishimoto wanted to kill off Naruto Legacy characters. He and Ikemoto hashed it out and Kishimoto trusted Ikemoto enough to where that ended up NOT happening. If it did. Y’all would be blaming Ikemoto for that character dying if it came to pass. Hell Kishimoto’s name is on the manga covers as the creator and supervisor of the Boruto story. It’s literally similar circumstances to Dragon Ball Super.

What gets me about this whole situation is just the mean spiritedness, the negativity and the hatred of it all. This should be a celebration of the fact that Kishimoto is giving us new content along with what we already have but people instead took it upon themselves to twist his words to paint a narrative and act toxic asf to anyone that happens to enjoy the official Naruto sequel that they happen to not like. MILLIONS of people are believing this misinformation while also being downright hateful on top of it all. It’s honestly sad.
