Kyle Davidson said the Blackhawks are designing next year's roster with Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar and Anton Frondell all at center.
That means in Frondell's case, "We’re working toward making his primary position center."

Dirty little secret... Pritzker never wanted this bill to pass. His Presidential aspirations would've taken a bigger hit if he fought to give Billionaires tax relief he wouldn't give homeowners.
The knives are gonna be out for @govpritzker. From a longtime statehouse insider:
“For something this big to get passed, a governor has to be engaged. He has to make it happen Governor Pritzker wasn’t engaged on this.”
Cunningham also added that the Bears’ statement today isn’t all that different from the one the team released in February following the passage of the stadium authority bill in Indiana. Here’s that statement for reference:
At the NFL level, Indiana is clearly in the lead for a #Bears stadium.
League approval would still need to come from stadium & finance committees as well as a full vote.
While Arlington Heights isn't dead, Illinois needs to pull together quickly to present a plan to consider.
First Arlington Heights. Then Chicago. Then Arlington Heights again. Then maybe Hammond if Arlington Heights doesn't work out. Or maybe Chicago again if the other two aren't viable? And now Hammond...
As Ben said, the Bears' focus has shifted several times. So we'll see!
Chris Johnston: Re Blackhawks 4th overall pick: They're more than likely to select at that number, but they're also a team that has openness or willingness to move off that pick if something makes sense - Chris Johnston Show (5/28)
Sen. Bill Cunningham, D-Chicago, tells me that Bears President Kevin Warren called him this morning and told him they were putting out the statement about moving forward in Hammond. But... Cunningham added this: "He also said he looks forward to continuing discussions with me."
Key words: "voted to advance" and "with the exact site to be selected." Nothing final. And it doesn't sound like shovels are all that close to being in the ground.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve tried to convey on @HogeAndJahns and @CHGO_Bears how real Indiana was, how frustrated the McCaskey’s had grown with Illinois and Chicago and how the move was a real possibility.
Illinois will need a miraculous, Caleb Williams-like comeback now.
Focus is Arlington Heights.
Focus is downtown lakefront
Focus is Arlington Heights
Focus is Hammond.
The #Bears are on the stadium carousel like they used to ride the QB carousel.
The “intent” is to build there.
We’ll see.
What is shocking in all of this, is the resistance to reporting basic stadium info by most of the Chicago media. Whether they didn’t want to believe it, or they were told not to report it, is the question. #DaBears

Illinois had three years to work out an agreement with the #Bears on a new stadium.
Due to blunders on both sides, it failed to cross the finish line this spring.
Now the team is following through on the threat to leave for Indiana.
Here's why it was inevitable. (1/2)
While I’m being told that the Bears announcement on Hammond is “real”,
i.e. not a leverage play, a league source told me that the Bears leaving the state is not a done deal. Per source, Indiana is in the lead right now, but “Illinois can still get back in the race,” granted the state has a lot of ground to make up after not passing legislation that would have insured the Bears property tax certainty.
