During the trial outside Srinagar Central Jail, a Kashmiri Muslim stood to give the Adhan and was shot. Others continued the Adhan one by one despite the gunfire. More than 20 Kashmiri Muslims were killed that day, remembered by many as the martyrs of 13 July.
