I'll do a little (read that: lengthy) 🧵about visual "ID" of Phoneutria sp., using patterns, colors and distribution ranges.
This is mainly to entertain @rogeriobertani but if someone who's reading this feels like commenting, go at it.
@GeorgeARauscher P.S. Die hier, solltest Du Dir auch ansehen. Eher selten, dass ein bestimmtes Geschoss einen eigenen Wikipedia Eintrag bekommt:

Über diese Projektile und was sie anstellen ist viel Murks im Umlauf. Leute hängen an ihren "magischen" Überzeugungen.
Falls Du Fotos benötigst, ich habe einiges an "Exoten" hier, alles delaboriert, nur Sammlerstücke.
I will agree that this kind of foreign relations strategy is completely insane. They have now pushed Europe out of their sphere, and China is doubly pissed. Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden have made it clear they are now moving to do business with China over the US. In Canada, Pierre Poilievre is pushing back against Trump. The only country the US seems to be cozying up to is Russia!?! Here’s a fun little fact in case many of you didn’t know: the Chinese people hate Russians, and Russians hate the Chinese. Either way, China will only align with whoever benefits them. Now that the EU is falling more into China’s sphere than the US’s, who do you actually think is going to tell Russia to stop? Yeah, China. Congrats, US—you played yourself like a fiddle. Now you’re alone, isolated, and sandwiched between two powers who won’t think twice about screwing you over after what the Trump administration and Elon have just caused. Good luck with your debt. Oh yeah, by the way, China owns your debt—and so does the EU.
I'm so fed up with ID'ing Phoneutria on @inaturalist
I think it's futile to try to teach people how to recognize the individual species. Either people don't care at all or they just don't understand basic pattern and color combinations.
I feel lonely, i want to talk to Rogerio

@arachnonaut other species would react to the sound of messing with a foil bag of chips.
The former were mainly ground dwelling species, the latter mainly arboreal species.
Pretty funny stuff.
@arachnonaut May be depending on individual species reaction?
In the early 2000's observations made of spiders reactions towards artificial noises was sometimes discussed in hobby-keeping communities.
Keepers had noticed that some tarantula species would react to the noise of vacuum cleaning
