ગુજરાતમાં ફિક્સ પેને લઇને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટમાં કેસ પેન્ડિંગ છે. સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટમાં �� કેસ છેલ્લા ૧૩ વર્ષથી પેન્ડિંગ છે. ગુજરાત હાઇકોર્ટે ૨૦૧૨માં ફિક્સ પેની વિરુદ્ધમાં આ��ેશ આપ્યો હતો. પરંતુ તેમ છતાં સરકાર આ કેસ સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટમાં લડી રહી છે.

આજે રસોઈના ભાવ આસમાને, ભાડું, બિલ, બાળકોની ભણતર, દવા બધું મોંઘું થઈ ગયું છે,

મોંઘવારીના આ ભીષણ આગમાં પણ ગુજરાતના હજારો ફિક્સ પગારના કર્મચારીઓનો પગાર આજે પણ ૨૬,૦૦૦/- જ ફિક્સ છે!
રસોઈના ભાવ આસમાને, ભાડું, બિલ, બાળકોની ભણતર, દવા બધું મોંઘું થઈ ગયું છે, પણ સરકારની આ અન્યાયી પ્રથા હજુ અટકતી નથી. વર્ષોથી �� શોષણ ચાલે છે! એક જ કામ કરનાર કાયમી કર્મચારીને બમણો પગાર અને ફિક્સ પગારના કર્મચારીને માત્ર ૨૬ હજાર? આ સમાન કામ - સમાન વેતનનું ગંભીર ઉલ્લંઘન છે!
આ તો સીધો કર્મચારીઓ સાથેનો અન્યાય અને શોષણ છે! કુટુંબ કેવી રીતે ચલાવવું? બાળકોને કેવી રીતે ભણાવવા?
સરકારશ્રી, હવે ઘણું થયું! આ વર્ષોથી ચાલતી નિર્દય અને અમાનવીય પ્રથા તરત બંધ કરો! ફિક્સ પગાર પ્રથા દૂર કરો અને તમામ કર્મચારીઓને સમાન કામ માટે સમાન વેતન અ��ે સમાન અધિકાર આપો..!
જો સરકાર સાચી હિતેષી છે તો આ અન્યાયનો અંત કરો…!

આશરે 13 કરોડની વસ્તીવાળા બિહારનું GST collection : ₹ 3,252 કરોડ
આશરે 7 કરોડની વસ્તીવાળા ગુજરાતનું GST collection: ₹ 6,193 કરોડ

ઘણા લોકો એવી દલીલ કરતા હોય છે કે, "Fix pay 5 વર્ષથી ઘટાડીને 2 કે 3 વર્ષ કરવો જોઈએ."
ગુજરાત હાઈકૉર્ટના ચુકાદા પ્રમાણે આ પોલિસી બંધારણના
અનુચ્છેદ 13 : રાજ્ય���ે એવા કાયદા બનાવવાથી પ્રતિબંધિત કરે છે જે મૂળભૂત અધિકારોને છીનવી લે છે અથવા ઘટાડે છે. આવો કોઈપણ કાયદો રદબાતલ છે.
14:કાયદા સમક્ષ સમાનતા અને કાયદાનું સમાન રક્ષણ,
16:ભેદભાવ પર પ્રતિબંધ,
23: શોષણ સામેનો અધિકાર (forced labour as well),
અને Bonded Labour system(abolition) act, 1976 નું ઉલ્લંઘન કરે છે.
હવે જે પોલિસી ૩-૩ મૂળભૂત અધિકારો અને એક અધિનિયમનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરતી હોય, તેવી પોલિસી એક દિવસ માટે પણ કેમ હોવી જોઈએ???

એક દેશમાં બે વિધાન ન ચાલે તો ગુજરાતમાં ફિક્સ પગાર નીતિમાં બેવડું વલણ કેમ?
સમાજમાં સમાનતા જોઈએ તો નીતિઓમાં પણ સમાનતા આવશ્યક છે.
ગુજરાતમાં ફિક્સ પગારનો ભેદ દૂર થવો જોઈએ.

Kudos to the Government of Gujarat for taking a historic step towards ensuring uniformity and equality among citizens through the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. Such initiatives strengthen the constitutional principle that there should be no discrimination on the basis of religion and that every citizen is equal before the law of the land.
However, while we speak about equality in civil rights, an important question arises regarding equality within the state’s own workforce. What about parity in pay among employees serving the Government of Gujarat? For how long will thousands of government employees continue to face discrimination under the fixed pay scheme?
The principle of “Equal Work, Equal Pay” is not merely a slogan but a fundamental requirement of a fair and functional democracy. It is also a principle recognized by the Constitution of India and upheld in various judgments by the Supreme Court.
Employees working under the fixed pay system often perform the same duties and shoulder the same responsibilities as their regularly paid counterparts, yet they receive significantly lower compensation and fewer benefits. This disparity raises serious concerns about fairness, dignity of labour, and the protection of basic human rights.
If equality is to be truly upheld, it must begin within the government itself. Therefore, the Government of Gujarat should take immediate and decisive steps to abolish the fixed pay system and ensure fair, just, and dignified compensation for all Karmayogis who serve the state with dedication.
A progressive and inclusive governance model must guarantee not only equality before the law but also equality in treatment and opportunity for those who work tirelessly for the administration and development of Gujarat.
