🚀 The #startup journey in #MedTech and #HealthTech is unlike any other. What if you could take a peek at the map?
You're not just building a product—you're navigating FDA regulations, clinical trials, lengthy sales cycles, and critical decisions impacting real patients and their families. The stakes are higher, the timelines longer, and the expertise required is incredibly specialized.
That's exactly why I'm excited to announce the MedTech Summit🏥
Most startup employees have no idea how to evaluate their equity
And a lot of companies exploit this asymmetry
If the founder of your startup isn't willing to share this information with you, I'd look for a new job:
Don’t forget to ask about liquidity preferences. Owning n% of a company doesn’t mean you get n% of any proceeds. It is quite possible for investors to do well while the employees get little or nothing.
A dark hiring pattern at startups
Giving employees equity but leaving out critical information that helps them value what it's actually worth
I frequently see offers that don't share percentage ownership or total number of shares outstanding
It is your right to ask!

Does Mo suggest crushing it in a hydraulic press or dropping it into a blast furnace? Please help me save humanity from my appliance.🤪

Seeking midlevel iOS engineer for @SierraRails to help on a small monthly contract to convert a small objective-C app to swift, add automated tests, and more. DM me :)
Ouch. I added RN to an app as an experiment in ~2017. What a disaster!
It isn’t the silver bullet folks assume it is. It won’t fix Cultural and system architecture problems, still requires top-notch native development skills, and it introduces new coordination & training needs.
👋🏼 Hello iOS folks,
I am about to graduate later this year from UWaterloo and I am looking for an iOS software engineering role in Canada 🇨🇦(remote or onsite).
If you know of any job openings please do let me know! And RT! Thanks 😊
Interpreting questions as statements or requests for anything other than information is a workplace anti-pattern. Holding a candidate's desire to understand the full range of benefits (as well as the benefit philosophy) against them is a terrible hiring practice.
my fully remote team at @Square for Restaurants is looking for iOS & Android engineers of all experience levels!
if you're interested, feel free to DM me! and also feel free to retweet for visibility in this tough job market :)
After 2.5 years my time at Twitter is coming to an end. I loved building @TwitterSpaces and contributing to @TwitterBlue’s creator monetization infra and collaborating with wonderful friends.
Would be excited to hear about iOS engineering and mobile product roles. DM me 💌
Thinking of all those impacted by the broad layoffs sweeping the tech world in the recent weeks. If you’ve been impacted or are looking, please reach out. There are teams at @Apple who are still hiring, such as my team in AR/VR and my former team (Messages). DM for details
My heart goes out to all the folks suddenly without a job, especially with so many layoffs happening across companies right now. If you’ve got iOS or macOS development experience, the Messages team at Apple is hiring at Apple Park! My DM’s are open.
I’ve been laid off before. I know it’s scary. I hope this helps:
If you’re affected by the layoffs at Twitter, Slack, Stripe, and the other tech companies, DM me and I’ll give you the $99 Fearless Salary Negotiation bundle for free (or $99 off any more premium bundle).
