Kindle vs. printed books? I think I’ve finally settled it, at least for myself.
Fiction demands immersion. You need the weight of the book in your hands and the physical feel of being somewhere else. Print wins clearly.
With non-fiction, you’re primarily mining for insight - highlights, annotations, searchable notes. Kindle is built for exactly that.
So, fiction in print, non-fiction on Kindle - is working beautifully for me.
I have years of notes and highlights from books I have read on my Kindle. I have recently fallen in love with NotebookLM and would love to see a simple workflow that connects all these notes to NotebookLM - anyone have an easy hack?
The “Ask” feature in Google Photos is insanely powerful.
I have 35,257 photos, and I can simply type:
“Show me a photo of Ashutosh carrying Ethan (my son) on his shoulder”
It returns all images matching this criteria.
Yes, there are a few incorrect or extra results, but it’s still incredible.
I can’t believe how good it is.
