और जो लोग genz आंदोलन को पीके की जीत का सेहरा बांध रहे हैं, वो वही हैं जो इंतजार कर रहे हैं कि किसी तरह बिल्ली के भागों छींका फूटे। पीके की जीत में genz आंदोलन का उतना ही योगदान है जितना कि तमिलनाडु में विजय की जीत में झारखंड मुक्ति मोर्चा का।

Everyone is talking about the 39 medals.

But the real story of these Games is much better than just the medals. Let me explain.

First, these Commonwealth Games was much smaller than the last one. Only 10 sports. Last time there were 19.

And look at which sports were removed.

Wrestling. Badminton. Shooting. Table tennis. Hockey. Cricket.

These are the sports India wins in every single time. Out of our 61 medals last time, 30 came from these sports.

So think about it like this.

In the sports that were played both times, we won 31 medals last time. This time we won 39 in those same sports.

We got better in every sport we played. The total looks smaller only because so many of our sports were not there at all.

Now, first let's talk about the good stuff.

Our boxers were unbelievable. 10 medals. 7 golds.

No country in the history of the Commonwealth Games had ever won 7 boxing golds at one Games.

India just did.

And 5 of those 7 champions are women.

Preeti Pawar. Jaismine Lamboria. Sakshi Chaudhary. Priya Ghanghas. Arundhati Choudhary. Plus Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal.

Actually, out of India's 13 golds, 8 were won by women. Our daughters won so much at these Games for us.

Mirabai Chanu won gold again. Third Commonwealth Games in a row. Only one Indian had ever done that before her.

She had a serious back injury. She won anyway. :)

Gulveer Singh is a soldier who grew up running on village roads in Aligarh. He became the first Indian ever to win a medal in the men's 10,000m race. Then he won one more in the 5000m.

In long distance running. Where India never wins.

Our para athletes won 7 medals. That equals everything they had won in all the previous Games put together. Their best performance ever.

Dilip Gavit, who lost his arm as a child, set a Games record in his 100m race.

Even judo gave us 2 golds. Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh.

Be honest, did you even know we had judo players this good?

Now the sad parts. There were a few, unfortunately.

Neeraj Chopra got a silver only. A thrower from Sri Lanka threw 89.75m and won it.

Neeraj is coming back from an injury and said himself that he is not at full strength yet. The good news was Yash Vir Singh winning bronze right behind him.

Our weightlifters won 8 medals. But 6 of them were silver. Six times we were just one good lift away from gold. Six times it did not come. That one hurts.

And in athletics, our runners and jumpers won 10 medals but no gold. Everyone finished second or third. Nobody finished first.

Now, for years people have said the same thing about India. That we only win medals because of shooting and wrestling. Remove those, and we are nothing.

Well. This time someone actually removed them. All of them. Every sport we depend on was taken out.

And we still finished 4th in the world.

The sports that were supposed to be our weak ones carried us. Boxing. Judo. Para athletics. Long distance running.

People said we win only because of easy sports. The easy sports were removed. We won anyway. :)

प्रशांत किशोर के सामने एक सीट हारने से पार्टी के रूप में भाजपा या मोदी/शाह को फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा। फर्क इन्हें पड़ेगा 👇

1. तेजस्वी यादव और राजद की राजनीति पर अस्तित्व का संकट आएगा। तेजस्वी यादव को रणनीति और टीम पर फिर से विचार करना होगा।

2. 'हाफीडेविट' ज्ञान वाले का पढ़े लिखे पीके का सदन में सामना करने में 'बायोडायटा' बिगड़ जाएगा। पर्चियों में भी सबसे नीचे रख दी जाएगी नाम की पर्ची।

3. ट्रेनी अध्यक्ष जी का प्रोबेशन पीरियड बढ़ेगा। सिर्फ दर्शन के लिए हैं, क्षमता प्रदर्शन के लिए नहीं इस पर मुहर लगेगी। पिछले अध्यक्ष नड्डा जी भी लोकप्रियता में महात्मा गांधी दिखेंगे बॉस जी के आगे।

4.समावेशी राजनीति और रोजगार-शिक्षा का राजनीति में महत्व थोड़ा बढ़ेगा क्योंकि प्रशांत इसे अपनी राजनीति का केंद्र बनाएंगे। पीके जाति की गोलबंदी और साम्प्रदायिक ध्रुवीकरण के खिलाफ एक उम्मीद बनेंगे चाहे वो उम्मीद बाद में खोखली क्यों न निकले।

5. उत्तर भारत में प्रशांत किशोर एक फैक्टर बनेंगे जिसके उम्मीदवार इंडिया गठबंधन और भाजपा दोनों के वोट काट सकते हैं। अगर वो भाजपा से अंडरस्टैंडिंग में रहे तो इंडिया गठबंधन का नुकसान करेंगे जैसा बसपा के कारण नुकसान की बात की जाती है। लेकिन पीके दुधारी तलवार बनेंगे, जरा सा भाजपा चूकी तो कम से कम उसके नाराज ब्राह्मण वोट लेकर उड़ जाएंगे।

6. प्रशांत किशोर की जीत गुजरात मॉडल की हार अभी मत मानिए, वो अपनी टीम की चूड़ी भी टाइट करते रहते हैं, वो राजनीति शास्त्र का नहीं षडयंत्र शास्त्र का विषय हैं। वो विपक्ष भी अपने मन का चाहते हैं।

7. इस्तीफा प्रसाद जैसे बयानवीरों के मुंह पर जनता द्वारा गंगा जी का बालू फेंका जाना अहंकार की हार के रूप में देखा जाएगा।

8. बिहार राज्य का चुनाव प्रशांत किशोर अपनी पार्टी को जिताने के लिए नहीं लड़े थे, ये चुनाव खुद जीतने के लिए लड़े थे। आगे उनकी भूमिका क्या होगी ये भविष्य बताएगा लेकिन कम से कम उनके जीतने से बिहार में एक नई किस्म की राजनीति की आस जगेगी वो आगे पूरी होगी या नहीं ये भविष्य में पता चलेगा।

प्रशांत किशोर की जीत तत्कालिक रूप से उन लोगों के लिए जश्न का सबब है जो जाति और धर्म/मजहब की विभाजनकारी राजनीति से ऊब चुके हैं, जो भाजपा की तानाशाही और पर्ची संस्कृति से दुखी हैं, जो शिक्षा और रोजगार जैसे जमीनी विषय पर राजनीति देखना चाहते हैं लेकिन उनकी उम्मीद कितनी स्थाई होगी ये आने वाले राज्य चुनावों में प्रशांत किशोर की भूमिका से स्पष्ट हो जाएगा अगर अभी स्पष्ट नहीं तो।

क्या है कि देश ने विकास और अलग राजनीति की उम्मीद के नाम पर वीपी सिंह की सरकार बनने की खुशी भी मनाई है, केजरीवाल के सरकार बनाने की भी और 2014 में मोदी सरकार बनने की भी। इसलिए किसी के जीतने पर ज्यादा खुश होने को नहीं मांगता। अहंकारियों की हार की खुशी में लड्डू जरूर खाएं लेकिन मन में भविष्य को लेकर ज्यादा लड्डू न फूटने दें।

India had its best-ever run in 2010 Commonwealth Games (2nd spot, 101 medals). Since then?
We haven’t broken top 2 (5th in 2014, 3rd in 2018, 4th in 2022 & most probably 4th/5th in 2026). Why?
Because the sports where India dominates were dropped from the subsequent events.
Shooting- where India racked up medals almost 40 in 2010 got stripped of its 'core sport' status and dropped.
Similarly, Archery and Wrestling were constantly trimmed of its categories.
Meanwhile, low-return sports for India like Swimming, Cycling etc stayed permanently safe on the program.
Now that Indian boxers are starting to rule the ring, what’s next? Will we see Boxing being dropped too?

Boxer Lovlina Borgohain who recently won silver medal in commonwealth games objected to a map of India printed on the restaurant's napkins as they excluded north east region.

Lovlina raised her voice politely and asked the restaurant owners to correct it..
