Time to be honest...
I am no longer with the team at nealthy as their marketing manager
Through my time with them, I have learned so much about content, partnership, and marketing strategies while also learning a ton of financial advice from extremely successful people
I thank them so much for giving me the opportunity and wish them the best of luck
I am turning a new leaf and looking forward to many future opportunities for myself
If there are any opportunities as a marketing manager please let me know and let's hop on a call
I tried to be an actor when I was 17.
I gave it 15 years.
I failed.
Because during that entire time I was a cocktail waitress, busser, server, bartender, restaurant manager… if it was front of house I probably did it.
I did not focus on my goal and I failed.
In 2013 moved back to NYC for a new relationship and he ended up being the love of my life.
It would be my last year in the restaurant industry.
We went all in, got pregnant a year later and I decided to get my real estate license and started flipping houses.
Started a new real estate business at 34 while pregnant.
I didn’t have any formal investment training.
I did have a ton of customer service experience.
Now, at 43, I have 3 kids and primary ownership positions in over $245 million of real estate.
There were many moments along the journey of growing a family and business that I questioned myself.
Self-doubt. Low self-esteem.
There wasn’t a path or course that I followed. I was blinded by a lot of shiny objects.
But I had a vision of where I wanted myself and my family to be and what I wanted to create.
It just took a long time to get there.
Get started. Make your mistakes. Pick yourself up.
Fill your life with great people.
You got this.
I dropped out of UCLA in my 5th year.
I was fired from two jobs for talking back to my managers; both of them called me a loose cannon.
My first company failed. We spent three years building a product no one wanted, and no one would pay for.
One of the biggest VCs in LA laughed us out of his office--literally.
Afterwards, my team went to a bar down the street and sat there completely stunned for an hour; no one said a word.
When Todd Goldberg and I set out to launch the @goingpublic series, we took our pitch to Wall Street.
They told us that our idea to allow viewers to invest in featured deals while they watched was "impossible."
They told us we would fail if we tried.
But by this point, it didn't matter what anyone said.
I was resilient. I had learned to overcome disappointment, rejection, and even outright failure.
Because I'm an entrepreneur.
And nothing can stop me.
