You can say and think whatever you want, but the real world works differently. If you're relying on a false or improperly obtained registration, it's simply naive to believe it carries any real legal value.
That's how things work in the real world. Go speak with a copyright attorney and ask them yourself whether a false registration can override the rights of the actual and legitimate creator.
In any case, broader protection is coming soon, so there's no need to worry about that.
We also have a charitable initiative currently being developed in partnership with a major sea turtle conservation organization. More details will be shared soon, and it is encouraging to see this kind of effort taking shape.
Everyone will be welcome to participate once the project is fully operational. SHIB will be there as well, contributing to an initiative focused on real-world impact and environmental conservation. Nice post :)
Our only position is simple: if you want to make money by exploiting the SHIB brand, you will likely run into problems.
If you want to sell SHIB-related products and genuinely add value to the community, we will be your strongest ally.
That said, the blockchain remains permissionless, and you are free to do whatever you want. The issue arises when people attempt to exploit our work to sell scams to the community or turn SHIB into their personal bank account. Those are two very different things.
I would also recommend reading Ryoshis whitepaper. It makes it very clear that protecting the brand was considered fundamental and was one of the very few responsibilities Ryoshi explicitly committed to.
