Impella pumps are getting smaller, smarter and more connected. Learn about the FDA early feasibility study of #Impella ECP, which has an expandable and recoilable design with 9Fr access and closure. https://t.co/R7hCr26dGD We are very proud at St John!!
The smallest heart pump in the world and first small bore MCS has arrived! Proud of the St John clinical research team for successfully performing the first in man. Congratulations to all the investigators and engineers that are advancing the science. Small bore and giant leap!
In order to improve outcomes for our patients, it is important for practitioners to apply these best practices, which include early identification of shock, use of a right heart cath, reduction of toxic inotropes and use of Impella prior to the PCI. https://t.co/HinBXCem5f
@MoJadelrab1 LCX ostium was free of disease. Thus I concentrated as LAD and Ramus bifurcation. Ramus had previous stent all the way to ostium, thus by elimination, strategy was simple. Double wire to LAD and Ramus, balloon LM into LAD, 3.5 mm stent across LM/LAD, recross Ramus, kiss, then POT

For me, this is the most impressive sporting achievement in history. Absolutely moved to tears to be able to witness this in my lifetime. A sub-2hour marathon. To get perspective, go and try to run at 21kph for 300meters....
Incredible @EliudKipchoge & everyone behind @INEOS159
A nurse told me a story complaining nausea and vomiting. She examined her and she found 12 nicotine patches on the arm. She asked why she has so many patches and the patient told her that her doctor prescribed the patch to place one a day!!! She never took them off. True story!
