Dr Arday’s death was the direct result of media harassment – we’re demanding a public inquiry to prevent this from ever happening again: https://t.co/Ei3Mug7pxI
The media in this country is rotten to its core.
The public hounding of a vulnerable Black autistic man to his death was not an accident. It was by design, driven by faux outrage and clicks, with a human being turned into a target.
The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Independent, The Spectator and The Guardian all joined the pile-on. And even sections of the left media, including Novara, did too.
The story should never have been Jason Arday. It should have been 19th-century ‘race science’ being peddled by a racist crank and the media’s failure to scrutinise it.
Instead too many jumped on a rabid, racist pile-on rather than exposing it.
Shame on them all.

We need an immediate pause until a clear national strategy is set out.
Decisions about Scotland should be made by the people who live here.
There’s a clear pro-independence majority in the Scottish Parliament and that majority voted for a referendum.
For politicians in London to deny that choice is a democratic outrage.
