Eric Chopra, writer, podcaster, and founder of itihāsology, explores Delhi’s haunted monuments in Ghosted. Delhi is a city of ruins, where ghosts and memory coexist with empire, poetry, and the restless pulse of the living. Storyteller and archivist, Eric Chopra, leads readers through Delhi’s haunted geographies, Jamali-Kamali, Khooni Darwaza, and Malcha Mahal, exploring how the city’s spirits, ruins, and stories shape its imagination. Swapna Liddle is a distinguished historian and heritage conservator, whose work, such as ‘The Broken Script’ and ‘14 Historic Walks of Delhi,’ offers a richly layered, ground-level view of Delhi’s architectural, social, and cultural history.
At the Jaipur Literature Festival 2026, presented by Vedanta, in conversation with Arundhati Nath, author of ‘The Phantom's Howl: Classic Tales of Ghosts and Hauntings From Bengal,’ they reveal how Delhi is built equally from stone, heritage, and the murmurs of those who came before.
The session is live at Fondation Jan Michalski Durbar Hall.
