In History, Year 6 enjoyed learning about the passengers that were on board the Empire Windrush. They analysed sources and explained how reliable the source was. We then hot seated in role as the passengers ⛴️ @HistoryJca
Year 5 have been reflecting on how we remember the brave soldiers who fought for our freedom. They asked thoughtful questions and showed a deep understanding of WWI. We then created Caesar Ciphers to decode a poignant message of remembrance. #LestWeForget#RemembranceDay
One child in year 4 made 40 poppies at home to share with the children in school today. We are grateful for their contribution. Together, we made a display to show our appreciation and respect for all who served. #Armisticeday2025.
Year 6 have had a fantastic time at @LeedsCityMuseum immersing themselves in the ancient Egyptians. They saw a real mummy and even got to complete the ritual of mummification! We then explored the museum in the afternoon recapping learning from previous year groups @HistoryJca

Year 5 have had a fantastic Outdoor Learning afternoon as they developed their knowledge of WWll. They ‘dug for victory’, built sturdy Anderson shelters and created clay models inspired by the war.
Year 6 had a brilliant morning with @edensforestcic exploring ancient Egyptians. We worked in teams to create our own pyramids, created a timeline of events and looked at Egyptian gods and goddesses @HistoryJca
Year 3 wrote beautifully descriptive biographies based on inspirational palaeontologist- Mary Anning! They have wowed us with their superb vocabulary and descriptive sentences. @JcaWriting#fossils 🐚
