The removal of Longannet Power Station chimney stack will take place this morning.

It was once the largest power station in Europe, the chimney has been a regional landmark since 1970, dominating the Forth skyline at around 183 m (600 ft) high

We are sad to announce that this Sunday will see the final @GCFCInfo service at St Vincent St Church - we were informed by the congregation on Friday that after a significant plaster fall in the main hall this week, they will be relocating to Partick Free Church.

Brilliant image from a survey last week showing how blanked off windows were used to mask flues while keeping the proportions of the building.

These windows are often mistakenly believed to be an example of a removed window due to the window tax, though this is not the case.
