15 years ago I worked for an NGO in masaka but I realised that uganda had two types of lives. I visited a young man about 25 he had 6 kids the oldest was 10 and the youngest months old. He has a Toyota premio, he had multiple pieces of land with coffee and banana plantations, he had 3 motorcycles. Technically he was very rich but this man couldn't read a word, he only visited the hospital when things were beyond reproach and he didnt know anything about modern banking or even social media yet I could guarantee that he was earning close to 10M per month plus he was already married but his phone was just a button phone. Now there is also a uganda of people with 8M phones and expensive clothes and perfumes but no physical tangible assets but very informed and educated.
