The criminalisation of marital rape is an urgent necessity in India’s legal framework. I introduced my Private Member’s Bill today to amend the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and remove the marital rape exception, reaffirming that marriage cannot negate the woman’s right to grant or deny consent. India must uphold its constitutional values and move from ‘No Means No’ to ‘Only Yes Means Yes,'. Every woman deserves the fundamental right to bodily autonomy and dignity within marriage, protections our legal system fails to provide. Marital rape is not about marriage but about violence. The moment for action has arrived.

story time : met two 17-year-old kids in the @DonToliver crowd at @RollingLoud last weekend. they were standing right behind me before the set started. one of them has a mobility disability and walks with crutches and his friend had him sitting on his shoulders.

we told them there’s a special viewing deck if they wanted to watch from a safer spot, because the crowd can get dangerous. they just laughed and said they already survived @trvisXX in the full pit. found out they’re best friends from college and only recently started going to concerts together.

the wild part?

his friend does this at every show.. puts him on his shoulders, holds his crutches in his hands, and takes him into the crowd so he can experience the full energy he missed out on earlier.

then don toliver’s intro started and like clockwork, he lifted him again. moshpits kept breaking out every minute and i kept turning around to check if they were okay.. somehow they handled it like absolute pros 😂

dangerous as hell and definitely not something i’d recommend, but man.. the friendship was real. one of the craziest and purest things i’ve seen at a concert.
