Sooner or later, every "digital transformation" project must contend with the funding and budgeting model. Finance drives big batches without realizing it.
A manager I know declared victory when he got the team to reduce the estimates from 3 months to 5 weeks. He was not as elated when it ran over, taking just over 3 months.
Moral: Getting a team to "commit" to a smaller estimate doesn't change the amount of work that must be done
... the truest sign of a healthy team and healthy system is this: you mostly use your observability tooling for

🔎 other higher order use cases.
Not incident response, not even bugs. But that doesn't mean you stop using it. Quite the opposite.
