@DaleD32781512 @BBCBreaking I appreciate that. But I do not think a 20 year old women should expect or deserve assault for camping in a tree. Surely this country should be better than that.
@DaleD32781512 @BBCBreaking And I do not condone any violence, from any side. But I do believe in the right to speak up against injustice and governments looking after their interests without response from us. From me, my daughter, from you. We have a right to a fair society for now and the future.
@DaleD32781512 @BBCBreaking And was it OK for the govt last September to allow grouse shooting but not other outdoor gatherings? Not allow even small peaceful protest? The govt look after their own interests. How do the rest of us look after ours, if we are silenced?
@DaleD32781512 @BBCBreaking And The Kinder Mass Trespass was a culmination of years of protest to have access to the moors. Soldiers who had fought in WW1 and were being told by grouse shooting landowners they could not go for a walk. Some battles are long. And govts do not always care for their people.
The government have inserted a "Stanley Johnson" loophole into travel restrictions which will allow people with 2nd homes to leave the UK to prepare a 2nd home for sale or rent.
Once again, this is the government favouring the privileged.
Everyone else faces a fine of up to 5K.
@mal_renolds@BBCBreaking Actually no police officer has the right of assault unless in self defence. We are all subject to the same laws. Which is why there is now a case against the police officer.
@hewitson10 It is the poll tax riots all over again. People will not stand by and be ground down by corrupt Tory governments. Did the govt not realise this would happen! Youth unemployment and years of austerity and Tory mates getting rich on covid. And don’t complain.
