Being controlled, threatened or repeatedly humiliated is bad enough. Women do not need to wait until their lives are in danger before they are allowed to leave. And families need to stop sending daughters back into abusive homes in the name of saving a marriage. Sometimes the marriage is exactly what she needs saving from.
