@6redbullcans Oh I’m so sorry 😭 Also been there! It’s not right how hard it is for students but you’re not alone and a lot will be feeling the same- I know I did!! It gets so much better when you qualify- you have a voice, you pick where you go and can even do part time if you feel like!
@6redbullcans Placements sucked! I had my fair share of rubbish ones 😭 but once you’re qualified you get to choose where you work and if it’s bad you can leave!! You’ve got this 🥳
@DJ3370178658@LauraPAuthor @cvonruhland 1. How dare you?? nothing was said about race and without foreign staff there wouldn’t be an nhs
2. Grand scheme of things the staff do so much for their patients, It’s not a ‘special lack of compassion’… it’s a piece of unbuttered toast…
@LauraPAuthor Yes I agree, we’re not paid enough, so it crushes me when a family member assumes nothing has been done for their loved ones without speaking to me first. it would devastate me if after everything I’d done, I’d get a complaint because I forgot to butter her toast..
@LauraPAuthor I’ve worked all over in hospitals north and south, and they follow the same pattern. If i hadn’t done it all by 11am because of no staff, I was trying my hardest to get it all done, because that’s my job role.
@LauraPAuthor 11am all my patients would had help with breakfast, medications given, obvs done (which some were ill, I’d need to do more for them), and helped with showers and bed baths. To post a pic to Twitter, without speaking to staff first, just seems really unfair..
@LauraPAuthor As for getting out of bed, she would be seen by physio during the week so even if the nurses didn’t have time she would be getting out of bed with them. Please ask a nurse why because the only reason would be if she refused or a medical reason, which would be documented.
