@CARealegal Agree with CAR legal and Mr. Bloom that buyers in that situation should not rely on easy answers and probably consult with a real estate attorney.
Voters should be careful and not be fooled by CA Prop 19, which is a government initiative for new taxes to be paid by homeowners after take down of CA constitution and its Prop 58 from 1986, which is protection of property right for transfer of tax basis. Please vote NO on 19.
@VoteYeson19 CA Proposition 19 is about government attempt to remove property rights protections in the CA constitution, and brought about by Prop 58 from 1986 that received large voter approval and almost no challenge. Please protect current law and Prop 58 and vote no on Prop 19.
@ShiloByrd CA Prop 19 is a government supported ballot initiative that if approved by voters would change important parts of Prop 13 from 1978, which has kept stability for home and property owners for the past 40 years.

Supporters of Prop 15, the largest property tax increase in CA history, are trying to fool voters about who would end up paying. In fact, small businesses and consumers would be hit hard. https://t.co/EFu1eL5tH8
Vote No on CA Prop 15 for Nov. 2020 elections. CA Prop 13 from 1978 is working well to keep homeowners and small business owners from losing their properties to skyrocketing property taxes, while delivering government reliable source of revenue. Vote NO to CA Prop 15.
