Today at 5:25pm EST I & my colleagues will be moving to pass the #HongKong Human Rights & Democracy Act in the U.S. Senate.
If no Senator objects it will pass & head over to the U.S. House & then hopefully swiftly to the President.
Every American and everyone around the world should be monitoring the situation in Hong Kong closely. China, we are watching. The world is watching. We stand with you, #HongKong.
Deeply concerned by the escalating violence orchestrated by the CCP & carried out by Hong Kong’s puppet government against Hong Kongers. America stands with the brave activists putting their lives on the line for democracy. #StandWithHongKong https://t.co/N80ITnqpyV
If District Council elections in Hong Kong go forward this weekend, “democracy candidates are going to win and China doesn’t want that,” @GordonGChang reports https://t.co/TY8QsXUOGy
Rather than telling us about the need for “both sides” to cease violence, perhaps @GOVUK@foreignoffice@DominicRaab@BorisJohnson would tell us what the UK is going to do about this terrifying violation of the Joint Declaration? https://t.co/GuGGw4lM58
This morning I was invited by @DanmarksR to talk about the conflict in Hong Kong. And of course I was proud wearing my #FightForFreedomStandWithHongKong T-shirt. PS: This Friday @alternativet_ will host the conference “Hong Kong today-me tomorrow?” at the Danish Parliament #dkpol
Over 20 voluntary first-aid personnel still trapped inside PolyU issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon denying any participation in any offence, and condemning the government for trapping them inside.

On Monday a Hong Kong court threw out the government's ban on masks aimed at stemming the city's political unrest.
But China's top legislature has signaled it may use this as an opportunity to drastically rewrite Hong Kong's legal framework. https://t.co/hpWc1lnSgh
Under the Sino-Brit Joint Declaration China agreed to respect Hong Kong’s sovereignty. This weekend, mainland Chinese soldiers were deployed to Hong Kong's streets
Trump admin officials should loudly oppose China's aggression & support #HongKongProtests

As #HongKong descends into further violence, why is our Foreign Secretary @DominicRaab silent? Why won't he stand up to the Chinese? Britain has a moral and legal responsibility to defend the rights of Hong Kong citizens. So much for 'Global Britain'. #HongKongProtest
.@SecPompeo: The U.S. is gravely concerned by deepening political unrest and violence in #HongKong. The CCP must honor its promises to the Hong Kong people, who only want the freedoms & liberties they have been promised in the Sino-British Joint Declaration, a UN-filed treaty.
Just did this for @BBCWorld - @BorisJohnson@DominicRaab need to put pressure on Carrie Lam to appoint a mediator and come to the table.
#PolyU is their home and represents everything they are fighting for. Leave them alone.
