@JosiahThobejane the issue happened twice on my car. first time it was on a short drive at Mc Donald Drive Thru and the other time on a long spirited drive to Dullstroom, so one can’t be sure what triggers the system failure. both times I took my car to VW for coolant flush and a free car wash.

@JosiahThobejane a similar problem happened with my Golf 8. it’s a software issue which for some reason randomly comes up when the auto stop start system comes on and the water pump fails resulting in the car overheating and going into limp mode. VW SA still doesn’t have a fix to the glitch.
