This interview with Yuki Ishikawa is so beautiful 😭
"Maybe it's a little strange to say... but I think I'm probably the person who loves volleyball more than anyone else, even among the national team players" 🥹
-Is there a phrase, value, or way of thinking that's particularly important to you?
Yuki: For me, I continue to play volleyball and work hard to achieve my goals. And then... I never hate what I do, or think it's truly unbearable. I think it's because I love volleyball. It's precisely this love that keeps me going. Even when there are difficult moments, I manage to face them without giving up and persevere.
Maybe it's a little strange to say... but I think I'm probably the person who loves volleyball more than anyone else, even among the national team players.
-In your career, has there been a word or message that made you particularly happy, something that made you even more determined to work hard? A pillar, so to speak?
Yuki: In Japan, people often say to me, "Do your best," or "Congratulations, you did well."
But when the Italian fans simply said, "Grazie," that really struck me.
I think they meant: "Watching your game really moved me. Thank you."
At that moment, I thought, "I'm really glad I kept playing." And it made me want to work even harder.
-Thank you so much
So, that's all for today with the player. Thank you for being with us!
Yuki: Thank you.
