Imagine if all of the women who have been building professional softball over the past few decades had waited for more money. There would be no AUSL. No MLB partner. No ESPN deal.
i wish that adults who have NEVER touched a collegiate field or who don’t have a child within it would not comment about players who chose to enter the portal. you don’t personally know their lives or what it’s like at their college. you wouldn’t comment on quitting shitty jobs.
The best players are intentional because they want to succeed. When it comes to preparation, are you a GET TO or GOT TO player? Practice/weights/conditioning/working out are privileges, not punishments. Serious athletes don’t think they’ve GOT TO work; rather they GET TO improve!
Nobody can make you be disciplined.
Nobody can make you be positive.
Nobody can make you get healthy.
Nobody can make you be resilient.
Nobody can make you get better.
Nobody can do the work for you.
It's up to you. Take ownership.
Discipline over time leads to results. Over time. Not today, not immediately, not when you want. Over time.
Be patient but persistent. Show up every day.
Be driven by purpose, not ego. Be in it for the impact, not the glory.
