Can someone in #HomeHealthPT explain the qualifications and program on the basis of "maintenance therapy"? Is there a certain freq for visits? How does a pt's assessment determine this appropriate? And anything else pls! Thank you!

I'm giving a talk to a group of ~200 high schoolers interested in health care, about who is a physical therapist. Any suggestions on things to incorporate? aka how do you keep high schoolers engaged 🙃 It's supposed to be about 15-20 mins
No matter how experienced your surgeon is, no matter how skilled your rehab team is, no matter how cautious you are with the return to sport process, after an injury you will ALWAYS be at increased risk for re-injury. There is no return to the pre-injury state, just a new normal.

Anyone have any resources for a general exercise program (aka group activity) for geriatrics that I can incorporate at my ALF?
I will be supervising and guiding but want to get some good evidence based programs!

So happy to have been reunited with the #PTFam this past weekend at #APTACSM2022!! Looking forward to all the new memories I get to create with the changers of our profession in the years to come 🧡
Finally got to spend most of my shift in the ED today!! It was so tiring the amount of pt evals I had but I also got to appreciate the opportunity I had to educate my patients on PT and how it could impact them before most other providers saw them! #EPT
