@FirepitMike Right. Such situations happen throughout a school year. It’s interesting to look at what cases garner a school board-level and public response asking state officials to get involved. Most do not.
@lennycurry@realDonaldTrump What a moment to double down on alignment with a rapist, racist, bigot, pedophile, tyrant, and liar. We see you, but it’s irrelevant. You did little to strengthen community when in power, so why would your ‘weighing in’ mean anything now? Past Mayor’s often do good. You? Nah!
@JeremyH418 Man, you have this so wrong. It’s policy to not allow students on your social media. I say it outloud at start of the year so that if I have to block them they don’t misread its intentions. You are spinning false narratives - again.
@RoryDiamond Yes, it was! Beautifully, powerfully diverse. Children, elders, veterans (many), biz owners, Christians, Jews, Muslims, doctors, teachers, Black, immigrant, LGBTQ, cis, and, yes, many white folks from every corner of the city-the people you claim as yours said Nah. This is Jax!
@NateMonroeTU Rory is a joke. To pick this small appropriation that ANY city makes to be, you know, A CITY, is absurd, small-minded, and just not serious.
@RoryDiamond@MayorDeegan This is pitiful. To attack this small amount for Arts & Culture, which has been funded for decades through the Cultural Council is small-minded, short-sighted. And museums, symphonies, theaters, and arts education programs have always been places of diverse cultural expression.
This DNC roll call is so much joy!!! Diverse, energized, talking reproductive rights, environmental justice, and needs of workers. And the music is 🔥. The contrast is stunning.
There are big losses (M4L on school board) and big wins. Biggest for me? Angie Nixon! It gives me hope to know THIS woman represents me/us in the shit show that is Florida state politics. These pics remind me why I love her - hard working, deep loving, speaking truth to power.
