With @rodlaje and @HMotanis we prove that classic homeostatic rules -when applied to all synapse types- are unstable and cannot lead to inhibition-stabilized regimes such as Up-states. We report a family of rules that autonomously lead to stable Up-states and balanced dynamics.
Check out our new paper in bioRxiv; we studies the role of PV and SST neurons in Up-states. I had so much fun working with the talented @JL_Romero12. We used experimental and theoretical methods to show that PV interneurons have a dominant role in network stabilization.
Differential excitability of PV and SST neurons results in distinct functional roles in inhibition stabilization of Up-states https://t.co/eH4HLXC2hx #biorxiv_neursci
@Sunbird3000 After 8 months of constantly using zoom on multiple computers and in different locations, the virtual background does not work for me: never ever was I able to show my full face, at best it shows one full part of my face (like a cheek or a nose).
