@cookinginakettl @ford_hmp Better than standard prison wages. They'll all have completed at least NVQ Level 2 in Catering or Horticulture and this will be their first step towards employment in local companies.

Last week our Chaplaincy team heard of a man due for release today with no accommodation. Thanks to Eastbourne-based Kingdom Way Trust https://t.co/4NWoCOVuId and Matthew25 Mission https://t.co/fhYSWY25ue he has a shelter place for at least a week and local support.

@KimMarieLennon1 @HomelinkLewes I know them. This contact is from the Hastings area. Our Chaplaincy team want to do more to link with the community so starting soon we'll have some extra part time resource in the prison to do that.

It's not what you know, but who, and connections within the community. From a chance conversation with a local Councillor which led to a discussion on accommodation for those leaving prison came an email today wanting to connect local supporters with 2 men in Lewes.
