De flipper, hét onderzeedienst insigne, bestaat vandaag 59 jaar. Op 23 april 1965 werd de eerste flipper opgespeld en tot op de dag vandaag staat deze nog steeds symbool voor bekwaamheid en saamhorigheid. Met trots dragen wij onze flipper, nu en in de toekomst. 💪🏼🐬⚓️🇳🇱

We are saddened by the news that Major Kirkestuen has passed away. Around 50 years ago, he has been instrumental for the @korpsmariniers in making the arctic training possible. We are thankful for his service and his efforts in establishing the still existing NLD-NOR cooperation.

Visited breakfast seminar with the German and Norwegian Chief of Defence, general Breuer and Kristoffersen @Atlantkomite. Strategic patience but real quick and everything starts with unity of effort.

Paid a visit to NORA, ATC and Olavsvern. Consolidated our understanding of the Norwegian army and the NLD-NOR cooperation. The visit once again proved that knowing and understanding the people involved contributes to a better cooperation.

The last days, the NL ambassador and the defence attaché were in Bardufoss to visit the @NorwegianArmy and the @korpsmariniers. The latter are currently in the midst of their yearly winter training, #JAT. A very interesting visit!
