RSGT set a new terminal record for containers handled on a single vessel with 15,951 TEU moved onto and off of the 9,600 TEU capacity San Raphael Maersk during its February 3rd to 5th call at Jeddah port.

Since the signing of the new 30-year concession and development agreement in 2019, RSGT has expanded annual container throughput capacity by 240%, from 2.5 million TEU in 2020 to the current 6.2 million TEU, becoming the largest and busiest container terminal in Saudi Arabia.

Red Sea Gateway Terminal has now completed infrastructure renovations encompassing the entirety of the 1.5 million square meter facility; begun in 2019, the renovation project has been completed without any disruption of ongoing RSGT terminal operations, or world-class services.

سرني اليوم الاطلاع على نتائج الشراكة المثمرة مع القطاع الخاص بالوقوف على اكتمال أعمال تطوير الجزء الشمالي في ميناء جدة الإسلامي ورفع طاقته الاستيعابية، باستثمارات تجاوزت المليار ريال، مما يرفع القدرات التشغيلية ويزيد الطاقة الاستيعابية للميناء في حركة التجارة والتصدير ودعم النقل البحري وسلاسل الإمداد والخدمات اللوجستية، ويخلق فرصًا وظيفية تدعم القدرات البحرية الكبيرة للموانئ السعودية.
