So pleased to chair this panel of inspirational museum practitioners using digital to engage museum audiences in accessible ways. Looking forward to reflecting with @hoadbrighton MA #Curating students on how projects have to be collaborative, strategic and audience-driven.
Ten (!) years ago since I finished my BA in Visual Culture which got me into museums. Today I was back at my old uni for the Making Visible the Storeroom event, attending as a museum professional. Full circle and all that 😌 @CDH_Brighton@hoadbrighton Lots of food for thought!
It’s the people and things that make academic work special @hoadbrighton. One of the highlights this week was working with PhD student and fashion historian Kate Debono, @DrCNicklas and Prof Lou Taylor on assessing the teaching collection ahead of its move to our new campus
Registration now open for our Making Visible the Storeroom event on 12th May with presentations from Gus Casely-Hayford @V_and_A East and @CraigJordanBak1 and screening of #Onyeka Igwe’s film ‘a so-called archive’ @CDH_Brighton https://t.co/KStDCAtVky
My new book! More Than a Snapshot examines a century of popular photography in Britain. It tells this history via photo-processing envelopes - the kind you’d get when you collected your photos from the chemist or got them by post. I’ve been collecting them for more than a decade.
