My sources are telling me that Travis had actually planned to retire this offseason, but felt obligated to return in order to help cover the growing financial burdens of his mothers extensive home renovations.
Another reason to like the D.J. Moore trade:
The #Bills can lower Moore’s 2026 cap hit from $24.5M to $6.8M, according to @spotrac.
They can also save $6.1M by releasing WR Curtis Samuel.
So if the Bills were to complete both of these transactions, they would be swapping out a WR4 (at best) who can never stay healthy with a WR1 who hasn’t missed a game in 5 seasons, and it would only cost them $700,000 against the cap.
I’m doing this all day, every day. #BillsMafia
ESPN sources: the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills.
Compensation still is being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins, but both sides are pushing to make it happen.
