Update: in an unprecedented turn of events, the cats decided to hunt and consume the crane fly before I went to bed.

They still used my pillows sin my sleeping face to accomplish this, but I am willing to compromise to remain scratch-free.

There is a crane fly in my room. I suspect I won't survive the night, given that the last time I had one, the cats decided the best way to hunt it was to use my sleeping face as a spring board.

Still, pray for my survivial.
