I love the fade in the background colour, coupled with the foiled border and sequins it gives a real dream-like effect in the sunlight.

Shaker cards always add such an interesting, interactive aspect to a card and this is no different. The pieces inside have been chosen to perfectly complement the colours of the rest of the card.

There is an awful lot going on in this design but it doesn't detract from the central figure framed by the other designs. You could easily swap out this figure for anyone else for a similar effect.

Our very own James made another card Live on our Facebook Craft Along recently, and here it is! He used stamps to make the background and then embossing powder and shimmer shakers to colour the image.
A few simple elements can create truly outstanding cards. Some papers, a sentiment and a stencil, with a few sequins thrown in for good measure!

Not everything has to be colourful! Sam has shown beautifully here how effective simple black and white (with a little glitter) can be.

Some more amazing blending here, with some lovely pale tones so that it doesn't stand too proud from the white background card. The subtle nested squares around the edge are lovely touch.

The first thing I noticed on this card was the splatter of colour in the background. It's so subtle but really makes that white background incredibly interesting. The blended colours on the die cuts are spectacular as well.

The ribbon really finishes off this card but there are so many other small details. Like the amazingly colourful birds and butterflies in the background and the mottled metallic die cut behind the sentiment.
