Thanks @hocopledge. I will not take developer/dark money. The influence of political parties on non-partisan elections is also a concern. I am running w/o party affiliation and will not accept party endorsement/ funding.
Keep developers & political parties out of the BOE race.
🚨🚨🚨🚨 WE'VE GOT OUR FIRST BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE SIGNER!! Congratulations to Meg Ricks for being a bold Champion for the People!! 🙌 @megricksforboe
ANOTHER Pledge signer! Harry Dunbar, a CEF candidate running as a Dem. challenger to the current County Executive, is a long-time resident of Howard County. He knew Jim Rouse when they were on the CA board together!
Congrats Harry for being a #ChampionforthePeople candidate!💫
Shoutout to @BolenForMD for making a whole video to highlight the fact that he is NOT taking ANY developer money, and therefore you can be sure he has the community’s interests at heart when making decisions!
Thank you, Steven!
Any other Pledge Champions can make similar vids!
In a world full of developer donation takers, be a pledge signer.
THANK YOU @BolenForMD for being a pledge-signing Champion for the People!!
By not taking developer money, Steve is showing voters that he will work for them, NOT the special interests!
ICYMI:

Excellent discussion on the importance of eliminating developer influence in our politics. Given my last few posts on how much developer-contributions make up 65% to 85% for certain candidates, the importance of the @hocopledge has never been more salient. #HoCoMd#hocopolitics

It’s going to be a hectic campaign season, & developers are already pushing and funding their favored candidates - we need all candidates to pledge to rejects this $!
Everybody check out the recent interview on @scotteblog about the @hocopledge No Developer Donation Campaign Pledge-developer corruption is the biggest issue in HoCo and results in hundreds of millions of $ in corporate subsidies every year.Sign the pledge https://t.co/UBPrbezEv5
Although HoCo now has a matched publicly-funded donation system to encourage candidates not to accept corporate donations, that Citizens Election Fund system is not perfect and is currently under attack - this Pledge is a needed addition for voters https://t.co/1DjtKP5Hpc
Thank you to @scotteblog for having us on to talk about our No Developer Donation Campaign Pledge in Howard County!
As we’ve seen in the recent campaign finance reports, developers are spending hundreds of thousands on HoCo campaigns. Sign the pledge! https://t.co/fs7DCJnqCY
Halloween-related post: Why does every other thing in Howard County, MD seem to involve some Ken Ulman goon? It's like a bunch of land Developer Dems who were investors in real estate & then they put their own in Elected office & Departments so they can watch their money grow.
YES! A profit-based housing model puts the needs of developers over the needs of PEOPLE and community members!
What is the solution? Get developer money out of politics!
