if you stabbed someone and then told them you were sorry, does that make the wound go away? no. it will bleed out until you actually help that someone’s wound to be healed.
trying to hear what they had to say, owning up to that thing, and then guess what?? everything is fine, that man or woman will no longer bring it up because you’re actually doing the inner work for that thing to fade and heal. can’t expect someone to fix their own wound for you.
your soul, your spirit, your physicality, your emotions, your mentality, etc. you use all of that for everything you work for but you can’t put in that same work and same effort for your relationship you chose to be in with your partner? that makes no sense to me.
if some of men can’t be honest, cant be communicative, cant be open minded, cant be loving in the darkest moments, cant be kind, cant be genuine around someone you love, then what are you doing?
if you think any amount of love in a relationship with potential comes easy, i’m here to let you know that nothing does, we all work for what we have in life, we work for money, we work for cars, we work for housing, we work for everything in life, you use your mind, your heart,
if you don’t like someone who genuinely loves you, then don’t waste their own time or energy for your own greed and selfishness. they’re human too. they have their own feelings they’re entitled to as well, not just you.
real love shows up where the easy moments don’t.
real love shows up in how you talk to your partner and treat your partner when a serious conversation is going on.
real love shows up when your partner is hurt or sick and you choose to take care of them instead of watching them
real love always shows up, no matter how uncomfortable challenges can get. love doesn’t stop just because it gets comfortable, just because it’s different, just because it’s not what you’re used to. but you are the one who chose that person for the rest of your life.
