A lot of Yoruba people do not understand Kwara state and the ethnogenesis of the Yoruba people there.

Before Sunday Igboho could start Iru Ekun security in Kwara state, the first place he went to for blessings and fortification is Ganmo which is the abode of the direct bloodline of Aare Oona Kakanfo Afonja.
The Oniganmo of Ganmo is a direct descendant of Afonja and an Oyo powerhouse in Kwara state.
